Donation to school hardship fund
Donation to school hardship fund
The School Fund is a voluntary contribution of £20 that we invite on an annual basis.
We are proud of the support that we offer to families in times of difficulty which is provided through our school hardship fund. This fund is used to help children with access to extra-curricular trips, food, clothing and, equipment for school. There are times when some families need a little extra support such as through food parcels, support with clothing, equipment and items for the home. We also offer financial support for children to participate in school trips and clubs where otherwise, financial challenges might be a barrier. Unfortunately, the school can only do this through the voluntary contributions from parents and, through our fundraising activities with the PSA.
Our school is well supported by the PSA in raising additional funds for projects that enhance the learning environment and experience for pupils. The funding for our school from central government is also heavily supplemented by the school’s own income generation which allows continued investment in our school to further improve facilities for pupils for example, a recentsignificant project to re-design and develop the Hub queueing courtyard and toilet facilities.
However, parents and carers will know that like all organisations, schools are not immune from inflation through rising costs such as energy, goods and services which is not linked to the centralised funding we receive.
Therefore, we are inviting those families with means to do so to make a £20 donation to our hardship fund. This is something that the school invites on an annual basis and is most welcome to enable us to continue to meet the increasing need in our community.
If you are able, please help us raise even more money by ticking the Gift Aid box. By doing so:
I confirm that I am a UK Income or Capital Gains taxpayer. I have read this statement and want The Westgate School Parent Staff Association to reclaim tax on my donation. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax/or Capital Gains tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of my donations it is my responsibility to pay the difference. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given.
Remember, you must provide your full name, home address, postcode & tick the Gift Aid box for The Westgate School Parent Staff Association to claim tax back on your donation.
